Masternodes bring the element of decentralization which can be guaranteed. It serves as decentralized storage and is foundation of the whole service ecosystem.
Protection
Masternodes offer protection against 51% attacks and help to achieve instant transactions.
Right to vote
Additionaly, all Masternode holders have a right to vote about development of AGM network – ergo holders can use our Governance portal, which is also used to gather community ideas, proposals.

MINING
Currently Argoneum utilizes PoW (Proof of Work) consensus, where safety of the whole network is ensured by mining performed by miners (which can be anyone) with help of available hardware, typically graphical cards.
Mining is rewarded by newly minted coins.
Argoneum Pool
We recommend using our official mining pool which is handled in-house. We support new miner software to ensure that pool always runs on correct version and without inconsistencies.
Any updates will be deployed here first, so official AGM pool is a mining front line so to speak.
